The Perfect Girlfriend Getaway

Last weekend I went to Miami Beach to celebrate my good friend and college roommate's bachelorette party! Miami Beach is one of my FAVORITE cities for nightlife, luxury and fun in the sun! 

I celebrated my 26th birthday in South Beach and had the best time:) Are you planning a trip with the girls soon?

The Beach – You know it just doesn’t feel like vacation if there isn’t sun and water involved. So make sure you pick a tropical and exotic location. Soaking up the sun in a sexy swimsuit that clings to your beautiful curves and dipping your perfectly pedicured toes in the water while sipping on a cool beverage is the closest thing to heaven on earth!

You can walk along the shore while your girlfriend gives the scoop on her latest blind date, lounge poolside talking about your upcoming work project and have some fun with water sport activities. When I vacationed with girlfriends in the Bahamas we went horseback riding along the beach, watched as one of the girls went parasailing and spent most afternoons kicking back in beach chairs.

The best part? I didn’t even get my hair wet:-)  

Nightlife – A destination with a hip and urban nightlife is a must! You want to make sure that Girl’s Night Out will be legendary! Go ahead and channel your inner “Sasha Fierce”, get glammed up, put on the “freakum dress”, break in the stilettos and own the night! Dine at a nice restaurant, dance like nobody is watching when the DJ plays your song or gather the girls for an “I’m Every Woman” karaoke sing along. This is also the perfect opportunity to check out the local male population. You’re single, right? A little flirting never hurt anyone. Live it up!  

Relaxation – Always make sure and set aside time to unwind. Carve out time in your trip for a spa day.   Life can be stressful; sometimes a good aromatherapy massage at a plush spa is all you need to get back into the groove.  Enjoy a light brunch, relax in the steam room and enjoy bonding while being pampered at the same time. It’s always good to get in some “me time” in the midst of all the fun and adventure of your vacation!
